First, lets explain what the difference is between the HTTPS and just HTTP. The S in https stands for secure, this means all data between you and cPanel will be encrypted, this is generally the best method of logging into cPanel. You will however get a warning about a self signed certificate, but dont let that scare you, thats just the SSL that cPanel comes with.
You can actually reach cPanel by just going to http://Whatever_Your_Domain_Is.com/cpanel and it will bring you right into the cPanel interface, but this form is just as good. It allows you to reach cPanel, WHM, or Webmail.
